I'm Back

Hadn't planned on being away this long. Attended a class reunion, which I did most of the planning. It went very well and we are going to do it again in two years.

I'm still unemployed. I guess I hadn't yet met the interviewer and/or HR professional who knows when he sees talent in a good looking middle aged person. Either that or they can't afford to pay me what I'm worth.

Good news is that next Thursday is the first band show of the season. this year I will be featuring video as well as stills on my "From the Pressbox" posts.

Hopefully I won't be such a stranger to my own blog.

MY One year anniversary of being unemployed.....and I'm a couple of years younger than you. I told people years ago that when NAFTA was passed it would be the death knell for the American worker and I was poo-pooed as be a "negative nelly". Who's laughing [or actually crying] now?

Only Americans NAFTA helped were the business owners.

Some people at the company I was formerly employed at wondered at the time whether alot of our work would go to Mexico. Indirectly, many of the jobs went to China.

Well, I hope you find employment soon. I'm sure something great is coming your way....but I'm excited at the thought of marching band season starting!! (I miss being a band mom).

AIEEEEE! Do something about your "visitor count" thingie to the right. Everytime I look at it, I think my eyesight has gotten even worse. It looks like I'm looking at a 3-D movie without the glasses. It's all blurry! {At least to me}

heyy Cliff hows it goin? band season begins thursday, yippie and i do believe no rain that day keeping fingers crossed i was wondering if you could tell me if u know what bands r gonna be there in mogadore the only other band then rittman that i know is gonna be there is hudson ??? !!! you takeing videos this year i heard, YaY! GO RITTMAN!!! i'll have myy neww camera ready thursday i'll be recording em in FULL HD this year... also looking forward too goin to jackson's n medina's shows this year never been too em... im not sure if i'll be able too go too the one in edison, how far is it too there from here? i also heard mr. sims say they gonna try n get r alumni band back for our show i REALLY hope he does, miss em......

Hi Guys, It's hard to believe that this is post number 800 for this blog. I started this blog out of my desire to communicate. Since radio and television is becoming more and more automated and less and less personal, I'm glad I made the decision to go in this direction as it has given me many blessings. Why?

What I'm posting now is with the blessing of Chelle. Chelle is the cousin of Suzanne's husband, Richard. I had gotten the impression from both of them that they were about as close as sisters. Suzanne had been a friend of mine since I had discovered one of her blogs in July, 2006. We would make reference to each other on our blogs and would have dialogue via email quite a bit. It was no surprise to me that she was friends to many other bloggers as well. I felt it was quite an honor to be held in as high esteem as I was. We even talked to each other on the phone on occasion. I felt as we had known each other for a long time. I also knew that Suzanne was having some personal problems, much of which had to do with a very troubled marriage. I would let her bounce things off me, and I would send her some encouragement. From a "Battleground State"

I am going to make this one short and sweet. I live in Ohio, in this election season, one of the so called "Battleground states," a state crucial for any candidate presidential hopes. Of course we have had many visits from presidential and vice presidential candidates. Other blogs have dissected both campaigns so I will not. The only questions I have is will the promises made by either of these candidates exclusive to these states be fulfilled, or will they prove only to be hot air?
