Another blast of Old Man Winter

It's either school authorities have more faith in weather forecasting, or Chicken Little is in charge of calling off classes in most districts around here.

I woke up this morning and saw that most school districts in Wayne County, Ohio were closed today. I looked outside and no new snow had fallen. Would have been a good day to stay in, but I had to leave the house anyhow. First it was to take the WIXYmobile to the mechanic to get the transmission fixed, and to have Kathy pick me up. Then we both had to go to the doctor's office. All this was finishing as the bad snow was coming.

We are both doing fine and are warm inside our house. This time the school superintendents were wise in canceling classes. And once again, I'm glad not to be driving that 92 mile round trip to Cleveland.

our area did the same thing yesterday and it was so silly!! we had snow yes but it all melted away and when i went out in the snow it was like driving in rain there was nothing, i mean nothing to be worried about.
goof balls just wanted a second snow day this year!!

You woke up to no new snow? Just old snow, huh?
Glad you made it out and back safely. I would be hard pressed to leave the house at all!!!!

we started gettting the snow about 11:00 am it was the light flaky stuff.

Wooster City Schools in session again! The only public school in Wayne County opened today! No WIMPS here (as JimOhio123 would state).

Post 800: Time to chat

Hi Guys, It's hard to believe that this is post number 800 for this blog. I started this blog out of my desire to communicate. Since radio and television is becoming more and more automated and less and less personal, I'm glad I made the decision to go in this direction as it has given me many blessings. When I first decided to write my musings, a friend from the radio and television boards who goes by the name of newsnomore, told me not to be discouraged if I didn't get any readers. The fact that I did in the early going made me surprised and grateful that anyone was enjoying what I wrote. I've had people tell me that maybe it wasn't meant for me to ever be in radio, that maybe my calling was blogging. Nowadays I think blogging makes for better two way conversation than terrestrial radio, especially the way I do it, non confrontational. From a "Battleground State"

I am going to make this one short and sweet. I live in Ohio, in this election season, one of the so called "Battleground states," a state crucial for any candidate presidential hopes. Of course we have had many visits from presidential and vice presidential candidates. Other blogs have dissected both campaigns so I will not. The only questions I have is will the promises made by either of these candidates exclusive to these states be fulfilled, or will they prove only to be hot air?
