Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice. Pull down your pants, and slide on the ice.
I thought that I would bring out my inner rocker with this classic by the J. Geils Band. For us in the US of A, this is a short week, and I want to start it off with a bang!
It is not working. :0What does that say about my week to come????Hope all is well in WIXY-Ville!!!
That's one of those songs where, if you aren't tapping or singing along or on your feet...man, check your pulse!
I've seen a lot of 70's and 80's bands live, but missed J Giels somehow. their concert sounds like party!
I went to a J. Geils concert once and although they are a great live band I ended up having to leave the concert because of some inconsiderate concert goers. First was because the guy behind me was so drunk he spent the majority of the concert trying to keep his beer down and rather than get a backfull of Budweiser I vacated my seat. Second was due to the amount of Wacky Weed being smoked in the old Richfield Coliseum. I am highly allergic to that crap and ended up out on the concourse trying to breathe. A deputy told me to go back and sit down and I told him why I was out there and asked why didn't they do something about all the pot smoking. His reply was "What do you want me to do, arrest the whole place?" I that point I left and never went back to see anything at the Coliseum ever again.
Funny thing though, the ushers could always keep a handle on the cigarette smoking at the Cavs games.Concerts at the Coliseum got themselves a bad rap, especially after Led Zeppelin.
