Midweek thoughts

I have taken a thought from this post and expanded it on my other blog "Seek Him First"

I know it's been a few days, but I've had a few things on my plate, and the muse has been very stingy this week.

It's been weird this week that I've been finding myself posting on pro wrestling message boards, even though my last post here concerned a word-kayfabe used almost exclusively in pro wrestling.

Not much happening. "My"101.7, as newsnomore put it to me in an e-mail, yawwwwn.

Daytona 500 is coming up next month. I don't have too many NASCAR fans who look at this blog, but I am so I thought I'd put this here. BTW way CollegeDJ86, you're from Indiana. What do you think of Tony Stewart?

Ohio Media Watch is currently on hiatus, which is why I put "gone fishing" next to his link. He needs a rest, so hopefully he's getting one.

No third grandchild yet, but he's coming any day now. I will probably have to go to Nelsonville this weekend as the WIXYjrmobile is having some mechanical issues.

Finally, please pray for me as I'm dealing with some depression issues.

You can ALWAYS count on me for a prayer, especially when it comes to an issue like depression. I've been in a bout of that since October, when I found out that Becky(my ex-fiancee) was "playing" me.(while we were separated, and supposedly trying to work things out, she was seeing a 33 year-old guy at the same time!). Enough about my problems-I'm tough!!

You can count on me for mechanical problems-I have automotive experience!!

I'll help you out-ask and ye shall receive, my friend!!

Tony Stewart always rubbed me the wrong way... he was always a little too arrogant, too childish, and too much of a bad-boy for me to really applaud him. However, he does work hard and knows how to win.

Stewart, as you well may know, was also born in Indiana. There are two towns that claim to be his "hometown": Columbus and Rushville. The former was about an hour's drive northwest of my hometown of Madison, IN, while the latter was a slightly longer drive more toward due north of my hometown. Rushville has a nice 1/4 mile (I think) dirt track where Tony still sometimes races to this day as I understand.

I'll be praying for you as you continue to battle with some bouts of depression. Dwell on the sweet promises the Lord has in store for his children as well as the many he has already kept, and that may help you feel a little better!

WIXY, you are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. Your blog, OMW, and Cleveland.com are in my daily routine online.

I am happy that I have found another friend online who enjoys the media, music, and has a history with pro wrestling. How awesome is that? I remember many years ago when I was much younger looking forward to watching WWF Superstars Saturday afternoon on channel 9 out of Steubenville from the living room in beautiful Massillon! Great memories.

What Vince has done with it now is made what was once a good entertaining product, into alot of garbage.

Hey now...I am a NASCAR fan too. I prefer the old school NASCAR to this new stuff, but I still enjoy it. Tony Stewart rubs me the wrong way too. Did you see/read Jack Rousch's comments about Toyota joining the circuit? Their addition will make for some interesting rivalries, especially since Mark Martin will be beind the wheel of a Toyota.

One correction. Mark Martin will be behind the wheel of the 01 US Army Chevrolet.

Something that may be of interest of you is one of the things I've done this week to blow off steam was to redirect some disgruntled posters from the auto racing forum at Mlive to the auto racing forum at cleveland.com. I will explain why in one of my next posts.

Hi Guys, It's hard to believe that this is post number 800 for this blog. I started this blog out of my desire to communicate. Since radio and television is becoming more and more automated and less and less personal, I'm glad I made the decision to go in this direction as it has given me many blessings. From a "Battleground State"

I am going to make this one short and sweet. I live in Ohio, in this election season, one of the so called "Battleground states," a state crucial for any candidate presidential hopes. Of course we have had many visits from presidential and vice presidential candidates. Other blogs have dissected both campaigns so I will not. The only questions I have is will the promises made by either of these candidates exclusive to these states be fulfilled, or will they prove only to be hot air?

Why?

What I'm posting now is with the blessing of Chelle. Chelle is the cousin of Suzanne's husband, Richard. I had gotten the impression from both of them that they were about as close as sisters. Suzanne had been a friend of mine since I had discovered one of her blogs in July, 2006. We would make reference to each other on our blogs and would have dialogue via email quite a bit. It was no surprise to me that she was friends to many other bloggers as well. I felt it was quite an honor to be held in as high esteem as I was. We even talked to each other on the phone on occasion. I felt as we had known each other for a long time. I also knew that Suzanne was having some personal problems, much of which had to do with a very troubled marriage. I would let her bounce things off me, and I would send her some encouragement.
