Catching Up

Another week another byline:Just saw this weekend's edition of the Post, and my article about the WGBB spaghetti dinner was on the Rittman school page. I figure that will be my last byline for at least the next 2 1/2 months.

His latest post is about all the kid show hosts we grew up watching. It's worth your time to check it out.

I may try my hand at eBay soon. I picked up what looks like an interesting antique at a yard sale today. I was asked by both my daughters and my father-in-law what I was going to do with it. I told them that I was going to sell it on eBay. I didn't get a break on the price after I said that. Next time I go to a yard sale, I will go by myself. That way, I won't have to answer any questions that might come up, and I may get the same breaks others get.

Murphy's law enforcement: As of Wednesday, there's a new traffic light on my way to work. This one is on the corner of rt. 57 and Eastern Rd. This means I have to leave for work a little bit earlier since everybody knows if you leave at the last possible minute most lights in your way to work will be red. Oh well, sleep is overrated and that signal was really needed.

I seen your article in the Post, our first show (besides the Sleepwalker event) will be August 16th in Mogadore!!

I had thought the light at 57 & Eastern was always there. I just went through it a number of times while looking at some vehicles at the Premier Pontiac/GMC dealer. I can't imagine what that intersection would be like without a light.

That light was needed. Another place that needs a light is that ramp that leads to Greenwich from 57.

Post 800: Time to chat

Hi Guys, It's hard to believe that this is post number 800 for this blog. I started this blog out of my desire to communicate. Since radio and television is becoming more and more automated and less and less personal, I'm glad I made the decision to go in this direction as it has given me many blessings. When I first decided to write my musings, a friend from the radio and television boards who goes by the name of newsnomore, told me not to be discouraged if I didn't get any readers. The fact that I did in the early going made me surprised and grateful that anyone was enjoying what I wrote. I've had people tell me that maybe it wasn't meant for me to ever be in radio, that maybe my calling was blogging. Nowadays I think blogging makes for better two way conversation than terrestrial radio, especially the way I do it, non confrontational. From a "Battleground State"

I am going to make this one short and sweet. I live in Ohio, in this election season, one of the so called "Battleground states," a state crucial for any candidate presidential hopes. Of course we have had many visits from presidential and vice presidential candidates. Other blogs have dissected both campaigns so I will not. The only questions I have is will the promises made by either of these candidates exclusive to these states be fulfilled, or will they prove only to be hot air?
