This past November, I was reading my favorite source for media news, Ohio Media Watch. OMW had announced a new media blog, Tri-State Media Watch, a blog dedicated to covering the Greater Cincinnati area. Tim at Cleveland Classic Media also welcomed TSMW to the blogosphere. I decided to give it a look and also read the profile of the author, Jeremy Moses. Much to my surprise, listed among the blogs he was following, was WIXY's Gone Bananas. I then figured this dude had some good taste.
I also introduced Jeremy to my readers as I have a couple on my list who lived in the coverage area of the Cincinnati media outlets. Others from the bunch then took a liking to Jeremy, and why not? He's a very likable young man. Pretty much like most of us, Jeremy has this desire to communicate and is an internet disc jockey.
Soon afterward Jeremy launched a second blog called Personal Thoughts/Observations From N Ky. This was a blog for those who weren't media geeks. Through this Jeremy revealed to us that he is a young man who has had some challenges in life and has taken them head on.
Physical problems, including spina bifida has limited Jeremy's mobility, but has not limited his desire. The way he gets around really puts the rest of us to shame. He has taken a liking to all of us and is active in the comment section of many blogs. He is also good about promoting other's blogs.
Jeremy is also a fan of meteorology. One morning early in the winter as I was getting ready for work, I looked around the blogs and saw that Jeremy had posted a weather report on TSMW for Medina and Wayne counties. Nothing like having my own personal weatherman. He later mentioned why he was interested in meteorology.
Jeremy has also had his ups and downs in life and is not too proud to ask for prayer when he needs to. I forward a devotional to many of you who read my blog, including Jeremy. The other day, Jeremy had enough confidence in those I send the devotionals to to give a detailed prayer request, and according to Jeremy, the response was awesome. Keep on praying for and encouraging him.
Those who haven't been to Personal Thoughts/Observations From N KY, check it out and leave Jeremy a comment to let him know you've been there. Or, if you're interested in media happenings in the Greater Cincinnati area, check out Tri-State Media Watch.
