Barberton Style Skinless(??) Chicken

Most folks who have followed this blog from the beginning know I like good fried chicken. I've given a good review to the Hometown Market in Wadsworth, and liked the chicken that the former ownership of the Rittman IGA had sold. The Foutty's, who are the new owners, make better chicken, but that's another story.

What I want to post about is the chicken you can only get in the Barberton area. My favorite of the "chicken houses" is Milich's Village Inn, 4444 Cleveland Massillon Rd.
I usually order the four piece dinner-leg, thigh, breast, and wing. It also comes with two sides of your choice. I usually get french fries(piled high on top of the chicken), cole slaw, and "hot sauce". I put quotations around hot sauce because to me it's spanish rice with an attitude.

For a while there were several chicken restaurants popping up in the Wayne County area, all boasting "Barberton style chicken". They didn't last long. QWhen you're that close to Barberton why not get the real thing?

One place advertised "Barberton style skinless chicken", which made me say, huh? The thing that makes Barberton chicken unique is it's taste, and it taste's that way from the breading and the fact that it's deep fried in lard. So what's the point in removing the skin? I don't think about eating healthy when I eat at Milich's.

Well then Liquid,

You should go to Milich's. Just take I-71 north to I-76. 76 east to Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Turn right. Milich's will be about 2 miles on your right.

Will be worth the trip.
