Okay, so here's my opinion on that very "controversial" subject, coming up after a simple explanation.
For all my friends who reside outside the Northeast Ohio area, those of us who live here have three favorite professional teams, the Indians, Browns and Cavaliers. We have more bad sports in our lifetime than we could ever wish on those we don't like. The most valuable athlete in town is Lebron James. He plays for the Cavaliers and this year led them to the NBA Finals for the first time in team history.
This year the Cleveland Indians made the post season for the first time since 2001. In the ALDS, the Tribe is currently up 2 games to none to the dreaded New York Yankees. During game 1 of this series, Lebron came into Jacobs Field wearing a Yankees cap, he was interviewed on TBS, and he said that he has been a Yankees fan all his life, and he's also a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Lebron has taken a lot of heat from the Cleveland media for this.
Maybe my explanation wasn't so brief after all. But my opinion is we live in a free country. If Lebron wants to root for the Yankees, let him. If he wants to root for the Cowboys, let him. All I care about is that Lebron gives his all as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Let the young man wear what he wants. I will post what I want.
