Very Sad News

I just received an email from Chelle. Suzanne aka Liquid passed away Christmas Eve.

Most of the bloggers who have been with me most of the time know that she and I were very good friends and as close as any two people 800 miles from each other could be. Most of the people that I blog with come here, and I come to them as a result of my online friendship with Suzanne.

This is not news I want to hear on Christmas, but I do believe that she is with the very person whose birth we celebrate today.

Pray for Suzanne's parents, her brother, her children, and her many friends.

Thank you for your friendship, Suzanne.

Rest in peace.

There are times when we live a lifetime, and never meet such a friend, who accept you for who and what you are ... she was loved, she is loved, and will never be forgotten.

My heart hurts at the lost of this beloved one, but I wish her a happy journey.

cliff - - this is indeed sad news. do you know suzanne had been ill or was involved in some accident? i had an holiday greetings email from her Christmas Eve day...we will include her and all the family in our prayers....

I'm so sorry to hear this Cliff. I know you were good friends with her. I didn't know her very well but we did comment on each other blogs a few times. She was a lovely person. Prayers for all her family and loved ones.

I am in TOTAL shock...she came to my blog and left some of the most comforting and encouraging comments. She even posted a blog about me and the disease I'm fighting to generate more support. This is so sad, I'm just in shock. I pray God will minister to her family, that they are comfort and peace would be theirs.

My God...this is just so sad.

Cliff,

I was stunned when I learned of Suzanne's passing. I'd been reading her blog, enjoying her photos and awed by her poetry for some time. She would leave comments at my place from time - "thanking" me for the laughs and saying that she needed it.

We may have lost a friend, but I can smile and say "Heaven has gained an angel."

Hi Guys, It's hard to believe that this is post number 800 for this blog. I started this blog out of my desire to communicate. Lawson's Chip Dip

On a couple of occasions I have written posts dedicated to Lawson's, a convenience store chain that was located in Ohio for close to 50 years. In the late 1980's the chain was bought out by Dairy Mart, of Engfield Ct. Dairy Mart was then purchased by Alimentation Couche-Tard, and most stored were rebranded Circle K. Something that has survived the years since Lawson's has left the landscape is Lawson's Chip Dip. I get many hits on this blog from people out of Ohio, I'm thinking former Buckeyes, looking for availability of this chip dip. I had gotten an email from a former resident of Cleveland looking for it. I emailed Circle K about this sometime ago asking if it was possible to send the dip out to those out of state, they said because of quality issues that it was not possible. My only suggestion would be to get in touch with Circle K in your home area and ask them to start stocking this very popular item that seems to make every get-together complete. Now we wil

Sometimes Sports are Just Sports

 This may or may not make the final cut of my book. I was writing about some events this weekend and what had started as a joyous Friday night at my home school district became a weekend of heartbreak in the area after what happened at another school. Sometimes We Need to Realize That Sports are Just Games   Friday nights in late summer and early fall are sometimes a big deal for high school students and their families. As the long-time band announcer for my local high school, it is a time of year I always look forward to. This past Friday night was originally supposed to be the homecoming game for the local high school. The schedule had to be changed a bit because of the uncertainty of the opponents being able to field a team. There was talk around the league that they may have had to forfeit this game, so homecoming for the local school was rescheduled.
