It takes all types

This morning I was listening to my favorite morning show enroute to work. Sue wasn't there, as she was taking some well deserved days off. But Scott and Ryan Haidet were talking a bout a news article about a man was asking as part of his divorce settlement that his ex wife gives the kidney he donated back. Now that's an idea for a country song-"You broke my heart, now I want my kidney back."

Scott was also taking calls from snow plow operators. One of these people was a barber who said that he would give him a shave from a straight razor if he would come to his shop in Doylestown. Excuse me Scott, but as a long time Rittman resident, I need to caution you. I would not trust anyone in Doylestown being close to my throat with a straight razor.

What a story. I just read the link.. what stuck me was someone said the woman was a "b***h" for divorcing a man after he gave her a kidney.

Wow. He does not know why she divorced him. (maybe he was abusive or controlling). She did have his 3 children and she did wait 7+ years after the surgery to ask for a divorce.

People should NOT assume what goes on in a MARRIAGE or any relationship as an OUTSIDER.

I know people used to tell my MOTHER how lucky she was married to such a handsome attentive man (right only when other people were around).

Another commenter said his real motive is to give her less of a settlement by saying the organ is worth 1.5 Million (that sounds more logical why his lawyer is doing this).

The man asking for that kidney back should be ashamed of himself - I suspect he knows that it would never happen but shame on him for even bringing it up. What must his children think of him!! Crazy!

i don't disagree that it's an unreasonable request - - but tune in to one of the news channels and listen to the guy speak. i think he knows it's something that can't be done - - but i think she hurt him badly - and he's striking back by asking for something really unattainable, but will show his world how badly she hurt him....listen to him talk about why he's doing it....

doylestown must have changed some since i remember it cliff. didn't used to be that way....

Don: That line, as I told Scott Wynn in an email, is for the amusement of my Rittman readers, as Rittman and Chippewa(Doylestown) are fierce rivals. I have seen some ugly things happen at football games between the two schools, and I would not consider wearing red and black-Rittman's colors-when I would go to the Doylestown pressbox for halftime.

There have been some pretty rotten things done over the years in both directions.

I couldn't believe the kidney story either. Clearly, it's a ploy so he can get his divorce settlement lessened by the "value" of the kidney.

Just a sad commentary, really.

Wow they find some crazy stuff on the radio to air in the mornings, I was listening to Bob and Tom one day and they talked about a man who left his 3 year old son in the car while he went in to a strip club!! He told the little boy to stay in the car or Monsters would Eat him!! Yes they wrote a song about it I don't remember if it was country but is was a good giggle, I am grateful today to not have to be involved in such chaos. Remember to keep a sense of humor when listening to the radio

Hi Guys, It's hard to believe that this is post number 800 for this blog. I started this blog out of my desire to communicate. Since radio and television is becoming more and more automated and less and less personal, I'm glad I made the decision to go in this direction as it has given me many blessings. Sometimes Sports are Just Sports

 This may or may not make the final cut of my book. I was writing about some events this weekend and what had started as a joyous Friday night at my home school district became a weekend of heartbreak in the area after what happened at another school. Sometimes We Need to Realize That Sports are Just Games   Friday nights in late summer and early fall are sometimes a big deal for high school students and their families. As the long-time band announcer for my local high school, it is a time of year I always look forward to. This past Friday night was originally supposed to be the homecoming game for the local high school. The schedule had to be changed a bit because of the uncertainty of the opponents being able to field a team. There was talk around the league that they may have had to forfeit this game, so homecoming for the local school was rescheduled. Lawson's Chip Dip

On a couple of occasions I have written posts dedicated to Lawson's, a convenience store chain that was located in Ohio for close to 50 years. In the late 1980's the chain was bought out by Dairy Mart, of Engfield Ct. Dairy Mart was then purchased by Alimentation Couche-Tard, and most stored were rebranded Circle K. Something that has survived the years since Lawson's has left the landscape is Lawson's Chip Dip. I get many hits on this blog from people out of Ohio, I'm thinking former Buckeyes, looking for availability of this chip dip. I had gotten an email from a former resident of Cleveland looking for it. I emailed Circle K about this sometime ago asking if it was possible to send the dip out to those out of state, they said because of quality issues that it was not possible. My only suggestion would be to get in touch with Circle K in your home area and ask them to start stocking this very popular item that seems to make every get-together complete. Now we wil
